About About the Festival

​

CDF is a weekend long event in the spring featuring:

 

- Masterclasses and workshops

​

- CDF Gala for professional performers

 

- CDF Youth Gala for student performers

 

- CDF Repertoire Ensemble for local Charlotte professional and college pre-professional dancers to get the opportunity of performing the work of a featured guest artist at the CDF Gala.

- Presenting work of multiple genres including concert, social, and ethnic dance forms.

The festival began in 2006 and offers a platform for professional choreographers, dancers and teaching artists to share their knowledge and art with each other and the Charlotte community.​​
